Monster Quest: Monster Spiders

The predatory Monster Spiders are said to viciously attack animals. A shaman in the small town of San Rafael, on the border of Colombia and Venezuela, apparently witnessed a giant tarantula creep out of the jungle and into the village, where it caught a small dog. The spider delivered a fatal dose of poison, and then dragged the dog into the jungle.  Investigation on reports of large desert arachnids in Iraq called Camel Spiders and examines claims about spiders large enough to eat small dogs in Peru.
